You can also place blocks underneath the head of your mattress so that you head will be elevated. A sleep positioner can help you sleep on your side if you are having a hard time with this position.

If you want to clear your passage of congestion, you can breath in steam, use a room humidifier, or try nasal strips.

Taking calcium with magnesium will help enhance your sleep. Other herbal sleep aid remedies that you can take include wild lettuce, passion flower extract, hops, chamomile capsules, teas or tincture to reduce stress, and relieve headaches. You can also put lavender or hops in your pillows to help you fall asleep.

You can also take supplements in order to help your sleep problems. For a good sleep cycle, you can take melatonin. You can take an herb that acts like valium which is the herb valerian. Green tea can help you sleep deeper because it contains L-theanine which is an amino acid; you can also take 5-HTP which is like melatonin but also helps with depression and anxiety.

Sometimes, the food that we eat can help cure our sleep disorders. Foods rich in carbohydrates, cheese, nuts, beans, milk, etc., contain tryptophan which plays a role in sleep induction. Joint and muscle pain, depression and learning difficulties can be experienced if you take tryptophan as a supplement.
